Lex has had a monster of a weekend. Kierstin/Shelby popped in and took her to a movie on Fri. night.. Shelby has a truck so the wheelchair is no problem. Then Saturday came back and took even Maris to the mall... It was lots of laughing,some new purchases and more laughing. Then for Valentines her good friend Harriet came for the night.. They have not seen each other for 5yrs, but jumped right back into best friend status.... I tell you nothing makes me happier than hearing Lex laugh and be a normal teenager..Of course exhaustion along the way for Lex, small naps, some pain but she is used too it....
Now more time with Kierst/Shelby, watching Pearl Harbor.... It was such a blessing to have so much help and moments for me to spend time with Tess & Maris.... While Lex napped, we played a great game of scrabble.... Nice for a holiday, no Dr. appts and but that all changes tomorrow.
Still in our holding pattern praying bone is growing around her prosthesis. Extra Prayers asked for Vince who is recovering from surgery and Christian who is fighting his final battle.
We had a great weekend, hope the same for you & your families.
