The test finally came back from UCSD with the antibiotic that will kill the bacteria, it is Rocephin two times a day through her PICC line. I have just finished giving the morning dose.. Having issues with her PICC line, so we might have to make a trip into Children's today to have another one placed.
But milestones are happening. Lex was able to get up on her crutches and get a shower. Her pain is being controlled which is the greatest gift to me. I hate having her in pain and not being able to give her anymore meds. So this is the best of all three surgeries that she is comfortable.
Lots of angels at work, helping make our holiday brighter..The Dalton's gave us an early X-mas gift, Thank you to the Reilly's, we had a great visit and Vince looks so good. He is having his leg lengthened on the 28th of this month. Wish I took a picture of our two Osteo Warriors, they both give me such strength after everything they have been through. Keith & Nicole rescued us with a tree stand and got our tree in the house... It looks beautiful and Lex can see it from her hospital bed. The Vineyards brought us a great meal, I was near exhaustion and still had the nurse here at 8pm.. So getting to sit down and eat for the first time that day was a gift.
We are existing and everyday is always something new. I pray today will be less phone calls from the hospital, I was at my wits end yesterday. Merry X-mas to all:
Donna Mom to Alexis, Tessa & Maris
